Tunisia Team Live Up To Expectation Despite Loss, Says Coach Nabil
Harry Kane’s brace condemned Tunisia to a loss while the team also lost shot stopper Mouez Hassen to an injury.
However, Nabil praised his team for defending well and performing better in the second half of the game.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, he said, “The Tunisian side has performed very well and we were able to defend for 90 minutes.”
“The fact Hassen our goalkeeper was also replaced has hurt us a little bit in a match playing at such a high level. If we have three such changes it disturbs the players but I want to thank all my players for their defensive players, they lived up to expectations and we were much stronger in the second half.”
He added that the team were highly disciplined in terms of tactics and were very strong up to 90 minutes before they conceded the second goal.
He also lamented the team losing players to injury and stated that affected the play.
“Don’t forget we had two injuries and Ali Maaloul we should not have given him the time we gave him. We thought we would give him 60 minutes but he played throughout.”
The tactician hoped the team would get a better result when they face Belgium in their second game.
