Super Falcons Defender Ohale Joins Okobi At Swedish Club Vittsjo Gik
Super Falcons defender, Osinachi Ohale has joined fellow Nigerian Ngozi Okobi at Swedish women’s Damallsvenskan club, Vittsjo-Gik after signing a one-year deal joining the club from Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) side Rivers Angels FC.
Rivers Angels announced the deal on its official Twitter handle on Wednesday.”Our central defender, Ohale Osinachi, just signed a one year contract with Swedish outfit, Vittsjo GIK,” Rivers Angels revealed on twitter.
Ohale became third Nigerian to play for the club after Okobi and Josephine Chukwunonye. She also represented Nigeria at the 2011 and 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Germany and Canada respectively.
The 25-year-old defender has played for Nigerian side Delta Queens and Houston Dash in the America’s professional women’s soccer league. She won three Africa Women’s Cup of Nations title with the Super Falcons in 2010, 2014 and 2016.
She also represented Nigeria at the 2011 and 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Sweden and Canada respectively.
