Ighalo Rejoins Changchun Yatai For Pre-Season
Super Eagles striker, Odion Jude Ighalo has returned to his club, Changchun Yatai for pre-season ahead of the Chinese Super League which kicks-off in March.
Ighalo, who recently launched the opening of his new orphanage home in Ijegun-Ikotun a suburb of Lagos, also enjoyed his stay in Nigeria during the holiday.
The 28-year-old striker revealed via his verified Twitter handle, he has returned to China to team up with his teammates in preparation for the new season. “Pre-season mode activated,” Ighalo tweeted on Thursday.
The former Watford FC striker scored 15 goals in his 27 games appearance for Changchun in his first season with the Chinese club. He was also part of the squad that qualified Nigeria for the upcoming 2018 FIFA World in Russia.
Meanwhile, Changchun Yatai are expected to begin the new season campaign with a home fixture against newly promoted Beijing Renhe FC.
