2017 BBC African Footballer Award: Leon Balogun Canvasses Votes For Moses

. The five shortlist for the BBC Award

Super Eagles stand-in captain in the game against Algeria, Leon Balogun has canvassed votes for Chelsea wing-back, Victor Moses after he was being shortlisted among five players for the 2017 BBC African Footballer of the year award.

The five-man shortlist of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Naby Keita, Sadio Mane, Victor Moses and Mohamed Salah has been revealed and voting for the BBC award.

Reacting on the latest development, the FSV Mainz 05 defender calls on all Nigerians to go ahead and vote the versatile player. “Nigeria, it’s time to vote. This award can only go to our brother & outstanding baller @VictorMoses – no excuses! Make sure he gets what he deserves – African Footballer of the Year 2017 must be our very own,” Balogun wrote on his twitter handle.

Moses won the Premier League with Chelsea last season which automatically put him in good position to compete with other four contenders for the annual prestigious award.
