Newly signed Warri Wolves player Babatunde Solomon is optimistic that his new club will do well in both the domestic league and on the Continent this season.
In a chat with SRSport.com Solomon said he left the camp of former league champions Enyimba because he needs regular playing time, believing he can get it at Warri Wolves FC when the league finally kicks-off February 21. “When the club chairman Moses Etu called me that he wants me to join the club, I was so happy. I felt so great, it was a great move for me, I was with Enyimba when the offer came for me, but I had no choice but to accept the offer cause I need consistent play and I have being promised that here.”
“Warri Wolves is a big club, They competed with my former club Enyimba for the league title last year, and they will also be playing in the continent this season in the CAF Champions League and I can’t wait to be part of the great team as they start challenging for all titles this season including the Federation cup”
Reacting further, Solomon said he is fully ready to repay the club fans and club chairman for believing in him said he will do everything to justify the trust they have in him. “I am a team player and I believe so much in team-work.
“At Warri Wolves the manager, Sam Okpodu likes to play free flowing football, just like the way you saw us play at the just concluded Super Four competition and we hope it really works for us when the season begins. As a player I always look forward to victory in every game I play and I hope Warri wolves can become league champions for the first time this year.
“Wining the league is our plan for this year, and we’ve been working hard in training to achieve that. My plan is to win the league with the club as God helped with Enyimba last season,” he concluded.
