Tomas Kalas’ Goal Down Super Eagles
A goal from Tomas Kalas was enough to seal a victory for the Czech Republic in a friendly match against Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Kalas react quickest to a rebound after Teenage keeper, Francis Uzoho and Nigeria’s defenders, failed to clear the ball within the 18 yard.
Enjoying much of the possession, Nigeria was unable to find the back of the net, no thanks to lack of clinical finish and indecisiveness on the part of the attackers.
Czech Republic looked more thirsty for goal and their effort was crowned in the 25th minute when Kalas put them in front from a rebound.
Uzoho parried Tomas Soucek header and Kalas calmly hit the ball beyond the reach of the Keeper.
Efforts by Nigeria to score a goal proved abortive as the match ended 1-0.
Nigeria would be heading to the World in the back of 2 defeats in 3 World Cup preparatory friendly matches.
The Super Eagles are to play Croatia on Saturday, 16 of July at the Kaliningrad Stadium. that would be the team’s first match in the Russia 2018 World Cup.
