Russia 2018: Super Eagles Drops In Latest FIFA Ranking
The Super Eagles of Nigeria has dropped on the latest FIFA world ranking ahead of the 2018 World Cup from 47th position to 48th position.
The super Eagles dropped one position in the latest ranking was released on Thursday on the website of the football governing body.
In the Africa rating, the team also dropped from sixth place to seventh. This is evidently as a result of their performance in the friendly matches they have played in the preparation of the World Cup in June.
However, the team’s group opponents at the Russia 2018 World Cup did not rise in the ranking as Argentina remain fifth in the world, Croatia dropped two places from 18th to 20th, and Iceland remained 22nd.
