Ronaldo Breaks Goal-Scoring Record In All Europe’s Top Five Leagues

. Real Madrid teammates celebrate Ronaldo’s goal

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace for the Galacticos in their 4-1 win at Celta Vigo, as he broke the record for most goals scored in Europe’s top five leagues.

Ronaldo accomplished the feat in the 10th minute, when he latched onto the ball at the top of the box, took a touch and fired an unstoppable left-footed shot to eclipse former Tottenham, AC Milan and Chelsea striker Jimmy Greaves’ previous mark of 366.

He added a second in the second half, firing a pinpoint left-footed finish off the inside of the post after receiving a through ball from Isco on the counter-attack.

The four-time World Player of the Year has scored 284 goals in 264 league games for Real, while adding a further 84 goals in 196 matches for Manchester United.

The Portugal captain reached another milestone on Sunday, scoring his 400th and 401st goals for Real Madrid in all competitions in Los Blancos‘ 4-1 La Liga victory over Sevilla. Europe’s top five leagues consist of La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and the Premier League.
