Quadri Lands In Russia With Sporting For ETTU Champions League
Nigeria’s top table tennis star, Aruna Quadri has landed in Russia as he leads his Portuguese club, Sporting against star studded Russia’s Fakel Gazprom in the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) Champions League in Moscow.
Reacting shortly after the team’s arrival against the tournament defending champion, Quadri expressed his willingness to play against the more experienced Fakel Gazprom’s side.
“In Russia to play against star studded Fakel Gazprom in the Champions league on Friday October 27, 2017, in Orenburg,” Quadri wrote on twitter.
As a matter of fact, debutant Sporting have their hands full in the game, but Nigeria’s Quadri believes his team though tagged underdogs, but can still go ahead to make the difference when it really mattered.
Quadri recently crashed out of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) World Cup in Liege, Belgium, losing 6-11, 7-11, 6-11, 7-11 to Japan’s Jun Mizutani in the Round of 16.
