Omoyele Dedicates Warri Wolves Goal To Mum As Birthday Present
Osun United striker, Tosin Omoyele has dedicated his goal in the game against Warri Wolves in the Bet9ja Nigeria National League (NNL) clash last Saturday at the Osogbo City Stadium.
Omoyele presented his mum with a ‘money can’t buy’ birthday present with his 51st minute goal against former premiership side Warri Wolves FC in a keenly contested affair.
The fair skinned forward, who netted his 20th game of the ongoing NNL season registered his 10th goal less than 24 hours to his mum’s birthday as the Omoluabi Giants sent the wolves away from Osogbo with a well deserved victory.
The former C.O.D united forward in a chat with saharareporterssport.com said picking the maximum point for his team is so important and scoring a goal just a day before his mum’s birthday made it so perfect.
“Actually its my mum’s birthday, so I think this is a perfect birthday gift for her. I told her I was going to score for her before the game and she gave me her blessing. Am happy it came to past and I hope I will always make her proud”. Omoyele told saharareporterssport.com.
” I am glad I made it count. My team-mates were so strong and kept us going. The goal came in at an important time and the assist was superb from Ikenna Ibezim. Unfortunately this victory doesn’t really scratch the itch, it just make you want to win more and more and we have to start picking points away from home too,” he said.
He went further by also paying special tribute to his mum: “Lord I thank you for another goal you gave to me. I dedicate it as a birthday gift to my mum. More to come, still counting,” Omoyele wrote.
With the victory over Warri Wolves, Osun United now have 33 points from 23 matches and will welcome My People FC in their next game at the Osogbo City Stadium next weekend.
