Musa: I’m Happy To Rejoin CSKA Moscow On Loan, Eligible To Play For Russian Club In Europa

Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa has expressed great delight after rejoining Russian top club, CSKA Moscow from Leicester City on a season long loan deal.
Musa in a recent interview with the Red-Army club shared his emotions after returning to Russia on loan until the end of the season. “The medical examination passed successfully, and now I’m a football player of PFC CSKA,” Musa told the club’s website.
“I am infinitely happy and very proud that I came back here. This is truly my home, the team-champion, who always fights for the highest awards and occupies the highest places.
“I returned to the red-blue family! I promise that I will do my best to ensure that PFC CSKA once again took the place that belongs to him by right, and raised the champion’s cup over his head. I will work tirelessly.”
Another statement released on CSKA website reads: “Today, the army club agreed with the English “Lester” about the transfer of striker Ahmed Musa,” the statement concluded.
Musa played for PFC CSKA Moscow from 2012 to 2016 and played for the red-blue 168 matches, which scored 54 goals. As part of the army club, Ahmed became a three-time champion of Russia, the Cup holder and a two-time Super Cup winner.
In a separate statement on Tuesday, Leicester wrote on their website confirming the loan deal for Musa. “A deal has been agreed for Leicester City striker Ahmed Musa to re-join former club CSKA Moscow on loan until the end of the 2017/18 campaign.”
CSKA currently sit fifth in the Russian Premier League, with the division currently on a winter break which runs until March. He will be eligible to feature in next month’s Europa League Round of 32 clash away to Red Star Belgrade in Serbia.
He featured for clubs like, JUTH (Jos), Kano Pillars (both Nigeria), VVV Venlo (Holland), PFC CSKA (Russia) and Leicester City (England). The best scorer of PFC CSKA in seasons-2012/13 and 2015/16.
The 25-year-old forward Musa moved to Leicester City on 8 July 2016 for a club record £16.6 million. He scored his first goals with the club in a friendly against Barcelona in the 2016 International Champions Cup which ended in a 4–2 loss.
