Kayode Excited By Shakhtar Debut Goal
Nigerian striker, Olanrewaju ‘Larry’ Kayode is happy to score debut goal for FC Shakhtar Donetsk in their 0-3 win against Zorya FC in the Ukrainian Premier League clash on Sunday.
Kayode came on as second half substitute for Facundo Ferreyra in the 91st minute, almost immediately put his name on the score-sheet in the 93rd minute of the epic encounter. Reacting after scoring the debut goal, Kayode said:
“Very happy, impressive game! I came out at the end of the match, so for a few minutes, which was spent on the field, could not affect the events. Of course, I am glad that I managed to score, that the team won – this is the most important for me.
“My family came, I scored the opening goal, and this is definitely a sign. In a word, a great day,” the for Austria Wien striker stated after the game.
Meanwhile, Kayode joined Shakhtar on loan from English Premier League table toppers Manchester City for the rest of the season.
