Also speaking at the equipment presentation ceremony, the National Coordinator of Bullet Energy Drink Grassroot Boxing Initiative, Mr Anthony Kalunta revealed that the company was pushed to do more in boxing because the sports has been pushed aside in recent times.
“Boxing is the most disregarded and ignored sport. We want to bring boxing back to life in Nigeria. We believe boxing as a come to a standpoint and as a brand we decided to do this. Boxing is a sports that has to do with energy and that’s why we deemed it fit to encourage the youth and promote the sport also to reach out as a private public partnership.
“Osun State is the first state in the South West to get this boxing equipment as we were encouraged to support the State because of the level of commitment shown by the present administration towards developing boxing on a larger scale.
“We are looking to complete the whole of the southwest as we are hoping that this will show seriousness to all the state. These things challenge the state to do more”, he concluded.
