Flying Eagles to take on Guinea Bissau on patchy grass
Nigeria’s U20 National Team is set to tread on a tortuous path as they host their Guinea Bissau counterpart in a return leg game of the qualification series for the 2019 Africa U20 Cup of Nations at the Udoukaha Jacob Esuene Stadium,Calabar on Saturday.
The flying Eagles threw away a two goal lead some days ago in the first leg after allowing their host to equalise, making Saturday’s game a tricky one for the Nigerian side that must win the encounter to be sure of progressing into the next round.
Another concern for the Nigerian team is the pitch where the game will be played as it may not allow for a free following game due to the poor maintenance of the pitch.
The U20 National Team, Flying Eagles, fancy their chances of reaching the next round of the qualification series for the 2019 Africa U20 Cup of Nations when they face their Guinea Bissau counterparts at the Udoukaha Jacob Esuene Stadium, Calabar on Saturday.
Meanwhile,The Guinea Bissau contingent arrived in Lagos on Wednesday night and will fly into the Cross River State capital on Friday, while the match officials who coming from Togo are scheduled to be in Nigeria on Friday morning.
CAF has appointed Kouassi Attisso Attiogbe as referee, alongside his compatriots Limsa Kabassima (Assistant Referee 1), Adam Moukaila Biyao (Assistant Referee 2) and Kokou Hougnimon Fagla (Reserve Referee).
Mr. Andy Quame from Liberia will serve as the match commissioner.
