Flash: Aruna Quadri Rises To 21st In Latest ITTF World Ranking
Nigeria’s top table tennis star, Aruna Quadri rises from 27th to 21st position in the latest ITTF World Ranking for the month of December released by table tennis world ruling body.
According to the ranking, Quadri is rated number one in Africa and 21st in the world with 2507 points. Egyptian rival Omar Assar currently occupy 26th position and second in Africa with 2497 points.
Chinese superstar, MA Long maintain his number one spot in the world ranking with 3323 points, followed by another Chinese star, FAN Zhendong in second position with 3254. OVTCHAROV Dimitrij of Germany is in third position with 3106.
Also XU Xin of China is placed in the fourth position with 3078 points, BOLL Timo of Germany maintain the fifth position with 2971 points, LIN Gaoyuan of China in sixth position with 2806 points.
Others are MIZUTANI Jun of Japan in seventh position with 2804, NIWA Koki also of Japan in eighth position with 2800 points. ZHANG Jike of China in ninth position with 2787 points, while LEE Sangsu of Korea completed the top ten with 2739 points respectively.
In the women’s ranking, Egypt’s Dina Meshref dropped to 110 from 92 but she still remains Africa’s best ranked female player in the world while Nigeria’s Olufunke Oshonaike inactiveness at global level continues to rub off positively on her world ranking as she dropped from 227 to 262 in the latest rating
