Faleye: I’m Happy Scoring 3SC ‘Fabulous’ Goal Against ABS
By Olayinka Olawole
Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) young forward, Sunday Faleye has said he is happy scoring the goal that guaranteed his side’s victory against Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC in match-day 25 fixtures of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) on Sunday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba in Ibadan.
In an exclusive chat with SR Sports after the game in Ibadan, Faleye said he is very delighted to have added to his goal tally, after netting eight goals in the ongoing season. The Ajegunle-born striker was in the thick of the action when he came in for Abu Azeez who had an unimpressive display.
The non-league side product continued by insisting that his teammates are determined to end the season on a high, as they look to help 3SC escape relegation to the lower division. “I am excited about scoring a fabulous goal which secured our victory over ABS. We need more victories like this to remain here in the NPFL.
“We have over 11 games to go and we have to keep on with the same hunger and determination. Our main goal is to remain in the NPFL at least for now, then we can start planning ahead next season,” he stated.
Speaking further, Faleye who has been recently criticized by the Oluyole Warriors fans was quick to admit that he has really improved and thinks he needs more supports from the fans. “I know the fans expect much from me week in week out.
“I am here to serve them with all my heart and I am glad I scored again. Its far from the normal, I work hard everyday in training and I believe I am a better player now, he concluded.
