Nigeria’s Opponent Rwanda Releases 23-Man Squad For CHAN, Set To Hit Morocco January 1st

Nigeria’s Home Eagles group opponent Rwanda have released the final 23-man list for the Total 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco.which will represent the country at the Total 2018 African Nations Championships in Morocco has been released.

The 23-man squad was named by the Amavubi technical team represented by assistant coach Mashami Vincent alongside goalkeeper coach Thomas Higiro.

“We have assembled a good squad and we believe in them. We are heading to Tunisia to enhance our preparations. We believe we will be ready for CHAN tournament quest,” Mashami stated.

“Our main ambition is to reach the quarter final round of the CHAN tournament. We have a tricky sides in our group but our key to enable the success of our mission is to win the opening game against Nigeria on January 15. If we can qualify from the group stage, then we will have equal chances just like other qualified teams to even reach the semi-final round,” added Mashami.

The Amavubi team will depart for Tunisia on New Year to begin their enhanced training sessions scheduled to start on January 2-11, 2018. In Tunisia, Rwanda will play two friendly matches against Sudan on January 5 and Algeria on January 10, 2018 before heading to Morocco on January 11, 2018.

The CHAN tournament will take place between 12th January to 4th February 2018 in Morocco. Rwanda is in group C alongside Libya, Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea. Group C will be based in Tanger City.
