Done Deal: Super Falcons Defender Ebi Joins Oshoala In China
Super Falcons defender, Onome Ebi has joined Chinese second division side Henan Huishang FC, SR Sports can confirm.
The 34-year-old defender, who featured last for FC Minsk in the Belarusian Premier League, joined her favourite player, Asisat Oshoala as the second Falcons player to play in the Asian country.
She is returning to active football after recovering from an injury sustained during the African Women Nations Cup final against Cameroon in December 2016.
The news of her signing was confirmed by Onome’s management team, Temple Management Company, as the defender said she can’t wait to return to football for both country and club.
“Thanks be to God almighty for making this possible. I’m back in football again and to say I am super excited is to put what I am feeling mildly. I want to thank everyone who has been with me on my journey to recovery and has helped to make this possible.
“I want to single out my management team, Temple Management Company (TMC) for being a strong support system and making sure this transition was very smooth. I can’t wait to play football again for my club and country. I have survived one of the biggest challenges of my career and I am in a happy place to once again do what I love best.”
