Done Deal: Nigeria-Born England Forward Lookman Seals Everton Transfer
Nigerian-born England forward Ademola Lookman has completed his much publicised move from Charlton Athletic to Everton in a £10 million move, after signing a four-and-a-half-year deal until June 2021 at the Merseyside club.
Lookman is delighted to have made the move and believes working under Koeman is exactly what he needs to further his career as he makes the step up to the Premier League.
The 19-year old, who is an England Under-20 international and has scored seven goals in 25 games this season, becomes the most expensive signing ever from English League One.
He said: “It feels great to be an Everton player. As soon as I heard about Everton’s interest I knew this would be the right place for me. Everton has a big history and I was also attracted by the manager.”

“Everton has a big history and I was also attracted by the manager. When you look at what he did at Southampton, and what he does with young players in terms of developing them, that was a big attraction.
“It was great playing in the Championship last season and for the last six months in League One but I feel like I’m ready to make the step up to the Premier League.” he further stated.
On his new recruit, Everton manager Ronald Koeman said: “Ademola is a big talent and, at 19 years old, he has a big future in the game. I’m really happy that we’ve been able to bring him here to the club.”
Charlton Athletic were hoping Lookman would be loaned back until the end of the season however Everton feel he would be needed at Goodison Park between now and the end of the season.
