Done Deal: City Seal Brazilian Gabriel Jesus £27m Deal
English Premier League (EPL) giants Manchester City have completed the £27 million transfer of Brazilian winger Gabriel Jesus in time for their league clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Brazil international Jesus, who has scored 4 goals in 6 appearances for the national team, agreed a five-year deal with City in August and thereafter stayed with Palmeiras until the end of the Brazilian season in December.
Speaking on the new recruit, the club’s director of football Txiki Begiristain said: “He has the potential to become one of the best attacking players in the game.”
Gabriel Jesus had earlier arrived at the club in the first week of January but needed to wait for the Premier League to ratify his deal to the 2-time EPL champions.
