CHAN: Nigeria, Rwanda Settle For Goalless Draw In Tangier
Nigeria’s Super Eagles Team B played out a scoreless draw with the Amavubi Stars of Rwanda in their Group C first game at the ongoing 2018 Total African Nations Championship (CHAN) at the Stade Ibn Batouta, Tangier, Morocco on Monday.
The striking combination of Anthony Okpotu and Sunday Faleye terrorized the Rwanda’s defence but could not put the ball behind the net in the epic clash. The Eagles had their efforts hit the woodwork, for the third time in the game.
Rabiu Ali misses a clear chance to put the Eagles ahead from a rebound after Rwanda GK Ndayishimiye spilled Okoro’s cross. Ali’s well struck long range effort from over 30 yards went off the crossbar in the 41st minute.
