CHAN Eagles Beat Angola 2-1 AET To Set Up Semi-Final Clash With Sudan

Nigeria’s Super Eagles Team B came back from one down to defeat the Palangras Negras of Angola 2-1 After Extra Time at the ongoing Total African Nations Championship (CHAN) in the quarter final clash in Tangier, Morocco on Sunday.

Vladimiro Antonio opened scoring for Angola 56th minute into the game in the second half, Anthony Okpotu equalized late on the stroke of 90 minutes.

Gabriel Okechukwu grabbed the match-winner for the Coach Salisu Yusif tutored side early in the second half of the extra time as the game ended 2-1 in favour of Nigeria.

The Angolans appeared physical in the game hitting hard on the Nigerian players. Striker Sunday Faleye was injured midway in the first half but managed to continue in the game. Even though the finishing was poor, but the boys rose to the occasion when it mattered most to pick semi final ticket in the tournament.

Meanwhile, with the 2-1 win, Nigeria now set up semi-final clash with Sudan.
