BREAKING: Algeria Hold Eagles To 1-1 Draw In World Cup Qualifier, Nigeria Remain Unbeaten

Nigeria’s Super Eagles maintain its unbeaten run in the 2018 World Cup qualifier after playing out a 1-1 draw with the Fennecs of Algeria in their last Group B game at the Stade Mohamed Hamlaoui, Constantine, Algeria on Friday.
Israeli based midfielder, John Ogu scored first in the 62nd minute after the two teams played out a scoreless draw in the first half, Algeria leveled scores late from penalty in the 88th minute through French-born Algeria midfielder, Yacine Brahimi in the 88th minute, to end the game 1-1 at full time.
With the result Nigeria maintained its unbeaten status throughout the World Cup qualifying campaign, and the team is expected to jet out of Algeria for Tuesday’s international friendly against former champions, Argentina in Krasnodar, Russia.
The Super Eagles finished on top of the Group B table with 14 points from six games played throughout the course of the World Cup qualifiers.
