BREAKING: 3SC Confirm Edith Agoye As New Coach
Management of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) has confirmed the appointment of ex-international Edith Olumide Agoye as new technical adviser of the club, saharareporterssport.com can report.
The announcement of his appointment was confirmed via the club’s official twitter handle @Official3SC after the management of the Oluyole Warriors reached an agreement to sign the former player of the club.
“The management has confirmed
#EdithAgoye as the substantive #HeadCoach of the club to fill the vacuum created by Fatai Amoo exit. Good luck,” the statement reads on twitter.
Agoye replaced former coach, Fatai Amoo who led the club to relegation from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) at the end of last season. The attacking midfielder in his player days, featured for 3SC between 1994-95, 2002-2004 and 2008-2009 seasons respectively.
He played for several clubs which include, Julius Berger, Enyimba International FC among other clubs in Nigeria, and several other clubs like, Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Bnei Sakhnin FC, Maccabi Herzliva FC in Israel, Esperance Sportive de Tunis, SV Braunau, outside the country.
Agoye has been saddled with the responsibility to return the country to the elite NPFL top-flight ahead of the upcoming Nigeria National League (NNL) campaign. Meanwhile, immediate past technical adviser, Amoo congratulated the new coach for his recent appointment to oversee the technical affairs of the Ibadan club. “Congrats, greetings to your family and all members of our family too.”
