Amoo: 3SC Won’t Give Up Relegation Battle
By Olayinka Olawole
Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) head coach, Fatai Folorunsho Amoo is confident his side won’t give up in the fight to stay-up in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after match-day 25 win on Sunday.
In an exclusive with SR Sports shortly after his side recorded a 2-0 win over visiting Abubakr Bukola Saraki (ABS) side in Ibadan, the former Stationery Stores manager insisted that the Oluyole Warriors (as 3SC is fondly called) won’t give up until they are mathematically relegated.
“Am happy for today’s victory, but I know we still have a lot to do. We are working hard to stay out of relegation. Its a tough battle, but am positive we won’t go down,” Amoo told SR Sports after the game in Ibadan.
An header from diminutive midfielder Adebayo Ibrahim and a great volley from super teenage striker, Sunday Faleye gave the Ibadan-based club a vital win that took them away from the bottom of the NPFL log.
With 13 more games to go before the end of the NPFL campaign, Amoo made it clear that his team’s intention is to keep picking points in their remaining games, as they battle Rivers United in Port Harcourt next weekend.
