Ahead Of WAFU Cup Clash: Eagles Ready For Squirrels Battle – Friday Ubong

Super Eagles Team B forward, Friday Ubong has said  Nigeria is ready to beat the Squirrels of Benin Republic, With few hours to the WAFU Cup of Nations semi-final showdown, holding at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday.

There have been plenty of shots fired between the two camps in the build-up to the game and many football pundits are of the opinion it is going to be a tight contest.
In a brief chat with saharareporterssport.com from Ghana, the Akwa United star who has been in sparkling form for both club and country, feels the hard-work starts when they face the strong squirrels today.
“We have a great game ahead of us today and we need to show character. We are all motivated with the supports we have been getting from Nigerians here. It so amazing.  The unity among us will spur us to the final and perhaps win us the trophy,” he said.
The Super Eagles has only scored twice in their last three games, a situation Ubong feels will change against Benin Republic. “It is true we haven’t been scoring goals the way we would have loved to. The coaches have said a lot about that and we are ready to make a difference in today’s game,” he concluded.
