22 Eagles In Camp As Nigeria Prepare To Face South Africa

Nigeria is preparing for their top of the table clash with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa as 22 of its players are already in camp.

Currently training at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Delta State, the players are being led by the stand-in captain Ahmed Musa.

At the camp are Daniel Akpeyi, Theophilus Afelokhai, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Olaoluwa Aina, Adeleye Aniyikaye, Semi Ajayi, Bryan Idowu, William Ekong, Leon Balogun, Kenneth Omeruo, Jamilu Collins, Oghenekaro Etebo, John Ogu, Mikel Agu, Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon, Victor Osimhen, Henry Onyekuru, Alex Iwobi, Isaac Success and Samuel Chukwueze.
Expected to join the team is France-based forward, Samuel Kalu.

Nigeria would be playing South Africa in the FNB Stadium in Soweto on Saturday for the penultimate game of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match.

Nigeria would be aiming for a revenge after 2-0 defeat at Uyo Township Stadium.

Since the loss, the Eagles are yet to lose a match except for their outing at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The Nigeria delegation to Saturday’s big match will depart the country aboard a chartered flight from the Benin City Airport on

Thursday evening. The Eagles are expected to have a feel of the picturesque FNB Stadium on Friday afternoon by 3.30pm.
